Styrofoam Helicopter by jeremyengleman Styrofoam Helicopter by jeremyengleman
2008. Maya, mental ray.

A little RC helicopter using misss_fast simple for the styrofoam and mia_physical sun and sky for the lighting. There is a tutorial on this and you can download the entire scene at Gnomonology. [link]

Oh man, I love the render in this image, it seems so realistic especially with the texturing and lighting. Gotta love the mental ray render option though, comes out better than the standard maya program render selection. Great work!

Is this the one with the little air pump that took 3 minutes to pump if you were a little kid? Oh man, that was worth it though
